In case you don’t know, I live in Hangzhou, China. Today, I managed to get up around 5:30AM. I didn’t sleep so well last night and I felt a little groggy today. Not to mention, I’m still getting back into plant based eating and it can be tough in the beginning.
I make coffee in the morning, first thing. I buy Starbucks coffee and pay a little more for it. They grind it for me and I make it at home. Drip style. It’s actually way better coffee when you make it by hand. (Check out this video on hand dripped coffee.)
After, I make my coffee I write my future goals and daily goals. I visualise them for a few minutes after I write them. Then I do some yoga and breathing. I used to to think breathing exercises were a joke. But after a while I really do feel better when I do them.
I’ve come to love mornings nowadays and consider it the best part of the day.
Keeping up the daily blogs has been a lot easier than I expected. However there are days when I don’t have any decent writing ideas. The lead singer for The Cure Robert Smith used to lock himself in a room until he wrote a song. I like that kind of creative discipline. I don’t do the same thing but I am experimenting with writing at least a few paragraphs a day, just to see if I can do it and if it helps any.
I’m not trying to write a book or write professionally or anything like that, I’m only trying to write every day and see where it takes me.
