AIA#115 Bret Easton Ellis: On being white

I woke up today early.  I put on a pod cast and started to do some stretching a breathing exercises.  Then I headed to Starbucks, where I am now and got an ices coffee no sugar.

While I was in Thailand I bought the book White by Bret Easton Ellis.

It’s part art criticism, part biography part social commentary.  Somehow he makes it work.  He writes about todays social justice warriors and scathing internet culture, film, growing up in Los Angeles and becoming a cinephile.  The writing about the film American Gigalo  is worth it alone.  I’m still reading it, so I can’t give it a proper review but I had to at least mention it because I find the book so interesting.

If your remotely interested in movies, social media and or the politics of being white in America then check out White.

Peace and Love,
